The L.I.R.E. collection (Lis, infère, relis et examine) is designed for elementary students across all cycles. The concept is simple: each player reads a set of clues, often more than once, to place characters or items in a scene. Players can check their own answers, making the games easy to use in learning centres, small groups or one-on-one intervention.
Each game offers two levels of difficulty, allowing the educator to choose the level that best matches each player’s reading ability. Because players need to read and reread several clues, they naturally use different reading strategies, such as setting a reading purpose and checking their understanding as they go. The games also help develop inference skills, since players sometimes need to deduce information to place the characters or items in the right spots.
