Supporting and developing decoding

It has been shown that students need explicit instruction on the essential components of reading, particularly phonics for grapheme-phoneme correspondences. The resources offered have been carefully designed in collaboration with experienced educators. They allow students to learn the names and sounds of letters and develop decoding skills while having fun.

Learning to express oneself and understand

Several scientific models of reading instruction show that vocabulary and comprehension are essential elements to teach. This list offers a variety of stimulating resources for language development. You will find suggestions approved by students and professionals from all provinces and territories in Canada.

The 5 essential components of reading

Our reading selection takes into account the reality of teaching reading in a French-language minority context. It is intended for all programs, both in the mother tongue and as a second language. We offer our favourite resources for each of the five categories of interventions recognized by teaching professionals across Canada.

Supporting intermediate students

This selection takes into account the reality of teaching reading in a French-language minority context. It is intended for all programs, whether in the mother tongue, French immersion, or as a second language. The resources have been selected to correspond to the language level of students aged approximately 10 to 12, while offering visuals and themes appropriate for their age.

Supporting high school students

We have selected customer favourites from immersion and second language environments to meet the needs of high school students. The materials offered are stimulating, adapted to their language level, and consist of captivating texts accompanied by illustrations and a presentation appropriate for their age.

Because it is essential to maintain the motivation and engagement of teenagers, these resources offer teachers relevant, attractive materials that are well suited to this audience.
